Maximilian Buchmüller Receives MRS Graduate Student Award!
Our colleague M.Sc. Maximilian Buchmüller has been awarded a Graduate Student Silver Award by the Materials Research Society (MRS). The award ceremony took place during the MRS Spring Meeting from April 22 to 26, 2024, in Seattle (USA), where the finalists presented their research results to a panel of experts. This format provided Mr. Buchmüller with the opportunity to present his results to a broad, international audience of specialists and to continue networking with leading experts in his field of research.
According to MRS, the highly competitive Graduate Student Awards are given to "honor and encourage graduate students whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction." Mr. Buchmüller received the award for his promising research in the field of nonlinear optical (meta)-materials. The applications of these novel materials include highly sensitive optical sensors, modulators, as well as laser and quantum devices.
We congratulate Mr. Buchmüller on this great success.
